Creating Hyperlinks

Follow

Internal Hyperlink:

Use this when you are linking to a webpage within your own website.

  1. Go to "yourdomain.com/admin" to login

  2. From there navigate to the page you would like to edit and select the "Edit" button located on the right or left hand side of your page.

  3. Put your cursor on the page where you would to insert your hyperlink.

  4. Create some wording on the page that you will use to showcase your link.
In my example below I used two different examples to link the See Our Office Tour

  5. Now Highlight the text you just created:

Or if you have it within a sentence (as seen below), highlight only the text you want to include as the link:

  6. Once you text is highlighted, select the "Insert/Edit Link" icon in your toolbar to the left or right:

  7. The Link window below will appear for you to enter the URL, and how the new link will open for your users that select it:
    1. Click on the "Link List" drop down menu
    2. Find the page you would like the link directed to, left click to select it
    3. Target: Leave this as "None"

  8. Select the OK button in the bottom right hand corner to finalize the link- the font will change (depending on the template design you have- it will look similar to this):

    After (once link is set):
    *
You will notice the font has changed, it will be a slightly different color with a underline.

    Before (non-linked):
*You will notice the font has not changed...

Use this when you are linking to a website or webpage outside of your own website.

  2. From there navigate to the page you would like to edit and select the "Edit" button located on the right or left hand side of your page.

  3. Put your cursor on the page where you would to insert your hyperlink.

  4. Create some wording on the page that you will use to showcase your link.

In my example below I used two different examples to link the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
    :

  8. URL Field: Paste in or type the URL to the URL Field

  9. Target:  Always set the target to an outside website to "New Window".  This way it will either open in a new tab or new internet window (and they will have your website in the original internet window they can go back to once they are done viewing the information needed.

  10. Select the OK button in the bottom right hand corner to finalize the link- the font will change (depending on the template design you have- it will look similar to this):

    After (once link is set):
*You will notice the font has changed, it will be a slightly different color with a underline.

    Before (non-linked):
*You will notice the font has not changed...

Use this if you want to remove the link from the wording on your page, and keep the physical wording there (just deactivated from the link)...

  2. From there navigate to the page you would like to edit and select the "Edit" button located on the right or left hand side of your page.eactivate.  Put your cursor anywhere within the linked/underlined text:
