First Time Signup from being sent a Secure Message

1. You will receive an invitation email in your regular email inbox from the party who has sent you a secure message.

  • This email will contain information about the practice that sent you the message, will be coming from notify@mysecurepractice.com and will look something like this:

*If you do not see this original invitation message:

- Check your junk/spam folder

- Search your inbox for the sending email address "notify@mysecurepractice.com"

- You can also ask the person who sent you the message to send you a new one and verify they are sending to your correct email address.

  • When you open this email it will look something like this:

2. This email contains a link that will allow your specific account to register, follow the first link in the email.

3. When you follow the link, you will be presented with the registration page shown below.

Here you should enter your ADA number if you have one, or choose Skip to continue with the registration process.

4. You'll want to choose the Get Started button on the next screen to complete the registration process, it will take you through several screens to enter your practice information. Enter all the required information (indicated by *) and on the last screen you will enter your security setting preferences then choose Finish.

**If you do not see the correct phone numbers associated with your account under "Practice Information" please contact the party that sent you the message to update this information and re-start this process.

5. After selecting Finish, you will be sent a new email to complete the process and set your account password.

6. Follow the link in the new email you receive:

7. When you follow the email invite, based on the security settings on your account you will either (A) have to verify your identity by sending a secret code then set your password, or (B) you will be able to simply set your password based on the requirements of the system.

A. If you have two-step verification turned ON:

As an extra security measure, you will need to verify your identity in two ways. You will be presented with a screen to choose your preferred method of sending your phone number on file a secret code. If you have both an available landline and cell phone within your account settings you can choose to send the code with a phone call or receive a text with the secret code.

After selecting your preferred method, the code will be sent to you immediately. If you do not receive the code, you change the preferred method or re-send the code. Enter the code and select Continue.

**If you do not see the correct phone numbers associated with your account to complete 2-step verification, please contact PBHS Support to verify your identity and correct the phone number on your registered account.

Once your correct code has been entered, your identity is verified and you are presented with the Terms of Use for PBHS SecureMail. Accept to continue.

You will now be able to set the password for your account:

Once you have set your password the registration process is complete! Return to the portal login screen (mysecurepractice.com) and login using your email address and password to view the message that was sent to you:

B. If you have two-step verification turned OFF:

When you follow the link from your email inbox in Step #6 above, the next page will prompt you to read and accept the Terms of Use for PBHS SecureMail:

You will not need to verify your identity a second time using a phone number. After accepting the terms of use, you will be able to set your password:

Once you have set your password the registration process is complete! Return to the portal login screen (mysecurepractice.com) and login using your email address and password to view the message that was sent to you:
