First Time Review of Additional Device Options

We recently moved Device Options from the physical device into the MySecurePractice Portal (completed 11/14/19).  This allows you to access your Device Settings without having to interact with the physical device.

  1. Once you login
  2. Navigate to the Device Setting Page.
  3. Select the Enable Additional Device Options checkbox (you will only need to complete this step one time).

  4. Once selected, additional options below can now be selected:
    1. Chyron/Ticker
    2. Closed Captioning for YouTube Videos

If you DO NOT see the option for Enable Additional Device Options, then this action was previously completed by your practice OR PBHS during setup of the device.

ADA TV Ticker (or 'Chyron')

The Chyron or Ticker is an informational banner added to the bottom of your TV which displays news text alerts of different categories.  This can be turned on or off at anytime.

Once the video is done, and it plays a video with no closed caption- it should look similar to this:

Closed Captions for YouTube videos

The Closed Captions will only display for YouTube videos ONLY.  This can be turned on or off at anytime.

Note: This will only enable closed captioning for YouTube videos that have closed captions available. This does not include YouTube's automatic captions -- as these captions are automatically generated, and often include many errors and inconsistencies.
